Bermudian In China Salutes Lockdown Skills skills Competition
Bermudian Teacher, and former National Youth team footballer, Daren “Butchie” Burchall is now back at his teaching job in Shenzhen China, but today took the opportunity to salute those engaged in the Lockdown Football Skills Competition.
Burchall, who arrived in the technology centre after a temporary post at Bermuda High School for Girls, is teaching Information Technology and robotics in the highly competitive area of Science Technology, Engineering & Math “STEM”.
In speaking this morning with GoMedia-BDA spokesman Rick Richardson, Burchall said he returned to the classroom in Shenzhen two weeks ago.
He noted that students in years 9,10, & 11 were back in the classroom, and those in years 4 & 8 will turn up for studies next week.
Shenzhen is located on the Southern tip of the central Chinese mainland, in the south of Guangdong Province.
Meantime, Burchall said it was good to see young people here staying active during the lockdown and he sent organizers a thirty (30) second video demonstrating just how goal-keepers can enter the competition.
